After the opening we all went to celebrate and back to the hotel in San Blas, a beautiful neighborhood downtown Cusco.

Susana Aragon: I am interested in the way the creation of physical spaces internalizes the body, and refers our sense of identity. I start with a collection of images, poems, founded objects, garbage, dreams, memories,emotions, music, among others. After a while I put them together and start connecting in different ways, for example : tied carton boxes could become Memory, a dart game with mobile video target could be the game of the impossible, real dresses used as canvases to give life to different characters, a musical jewelry box becomes a piece to interchange emotions, founded pieces of wood or stones can be hearts, a white gown becomes a trans formative screen on someone’s body, suitcases filled with a video monitor become a personal luggage, knots in different ways and textures recall us of this ancient symbol to remember . I create presences through objects and spaces, presences with personal messages in the shape of videos, poetry, installations, pictures and mixed media pieces. I believe art can create opportunities for connections between nature or environment and human beings.
